Brothers Danny and Jeff Gustafson and Bob Sears are the ownership team and together created this unique experience for bourbon and beer afficionados, and these three dudes know a thing or two about the perfect pour.
Specializing in small-batch bourbons and craft brews, when guests stop in for a drink, they stay for the experience. This isn’t just a store or a bar…it’s a gathering spot where you can order some house-made nachos as the guys talk you through a master distiller’s latest bourbon release.
Part of the fun of craft beer is exploring the different flavors and feels, comparing and contrasting them, and finding new favorites. You can’t do a fair comparison unless the beer is served just right, and that means your server—not to mention the person installing and tapping the kegs—needs to have the proper skills and training.
That’s something we do here at The Brothers Beer and Bourbon House. In fact, most servers and the Brothers themselves are all Cicerone certified and can provide all our customers with the best beer drinking experience.
What does it mean to be “Cicerone” certified?
Think of it this way: Anyone can pull a tap or hold forth on their favorite beers. But it’s a whole different experience getting a great beer from a server who really knows beer flavors and styles—not to mention how to give great service.
You might have heard the term “sommelier” before as a title for a professional wine expert. Sommeliers are trained to select, acquire, and serve fine wine. In the world of beer, the Cicerone® Certification Program is the industry standard for identifying those with the knowledge and skills to select and serve beer. But with, like, 75% less pretentiousness.
We have a deep appreciation for the nuances of whiskey and bourbon and love to share our knowledge with our customers. From iconic brands like Buffalo Trace, Wild Turkey and Whistle Pig to small batch brands like Blacksmith, Yellowstone and Still 630, we help our customers understand the flavor profiles and appreciate the nuances.
With whiskey flights and tastings available, there will always be a reason to explore something new.
